Pader Orphans Caring Project

Northern part of Uganda is one area that has been politically unstable and because of this, thousands of people have lost their lives and others been injured. For so many years, it was acknowledged as a war tone area. But by the Grace of God, it regained its peacefulness and this has been observed for the last 5 years. Therefore it’s time to rebuild the Northern area of Uganda and make life meaning to the people who lost their dear ones. The survivors were resettled in camps and still traumatized of what they went through. It’s believed that the war lasted for 20 years, come and change the lives of people in Northern Uganda.Pader Orphans Caring Project will be an eye opener for your volunteer trip to Uganda. The time you set to come and assist the needy will be rewarding. The experience is overwhelming but worth remembering.
If you can travel as a team, that will be great. Team members are supposed to be 18 years and above. In case you are traveling with young children, competent team leader is required to take care of them. Medical team is seriously needed to give support to the traumatized children. Builders can as well construct for them houses, this is easily done due to the fact that the locals have the materials and can participant vigorously .Come and put a smile on  a Ugandan Child and you will be rewarded.

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe Airport and shortly you will be welcomed by our guide. He will brief you about our beautiful country and what to expect and not. You will appreciate that Uganda is the pearl of Africa. Our guide will drive you to the hotel or lodge where you will spend the night prior to setting off to the Northern part of Uganda

Day 2: Have an exquisite morning breakfast and proceed to pader area situated in the northern part of Uganda. As you enjoy the journey, you will be given some information about the area, how the war started and come to an end. Have lunch along the way and continue to Pader, we arrive late and check in to you lodge. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Have breakfast and set off to Pader Orphans caring project. The staff and children will be glad to welcome you. Majority of them stay in rudimentary huts however they are cared for with food and education. There are so many activities to engage in right from building, medical care to teaching. The people along with children are cooperative and eager to learn. Its takes one with a loving and caring heart to extend a service. Have lunch at the orphanage and relax. After charting with the people, you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: After breakfast, go early to the camp to participant with the children in their morning prayers as well as devotions. No matter what you believe in, you will be mesmerized by the spirit these people have that motivates them to praise God. You will continue with the day’s activities in the orphanage. Have lunch and still interact with the children. As you enjoy the evening, you will reflect on the day’s activities and still share with your team members.

Day 5: Have breakfast and proceed to the orphanage. If it’s a Sunday, you will have to go to church with the children. Each day will be unique and fun filling. Since it will be a Sunday, it will be a day of resting. Have lunch and return to your lodge.
Day 6: Have breakfast and continue with the day’s activities at the orphanage.

Day 7:  After breakfast, you drive off to the orphanage. Spend time with the children as you make a difference in their lives. By this time, you would have created a strong bond with the children and the elderly people.

Day 8: As you are almost concluding your tour with the needy children, you spend the entire day with them making sure that they have learnt something during your stay. Have lunch and dinner at your lodge.

Day 9: With an early morning breakfast, you set off to the orphanage. This is the last day with the children as well as staff at Pader Orphans caring project. The children will feel sad about your departure however will always be grateful for your support. The experience will be memorable. Return to your lodge.

Day 10: Have a beautiful breakfast and drive off to Pakwach for a 3 day Murchison falls safari. It’s time to relax from the daily activities that you have been doing for the community. Have lunch en route and continue to the park. Accommodation ranges from budget, moderate and luxury. We arrive late and check in to the preferred lodge. Have an afternoon game drive and see lots of wildlife. Have dinner and rest.

Day 11: Have breakfast and get ready for the early morning game drive. This is the best time to see the early risers and those retiring to go to sleep. Make sure your camera is fully charged to enable you takes lots of pictures. Commonly seen animals include elephants, giraffe buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, antelopes, lions and various bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, we go for the boat cruise on the Nile to see other animals that you missed seeing on land. Among these include seeing large concentrations of hippos thrashing water, crocodiles basking in the sun, elephants, buffaloes chilling in water and others seen at a distance. You will get a chance to see the top of the falls. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: With an early morning breakfast, we set off to Budongo Forest for chimpanzee tracking. Along the way, you will meet other primates and bird species. Coming face to face with the chimpanzees will be rewarding and exciting. Have lunch and drive off to Kampala. We arrive late and check into your lodge. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Have a lovely breakfast and take a city tour to Kampala. Among the places to visit include Owino market where second hand clothes are sold, Nakasero market where food stuff is sold, Tax park where thousands of vans can be seen, Craft market, Uganda museum, Namugongo Martyr’s shrine and kasubi tombs. Return to lodge for dinner and rest .

 Day 14: Have breakfast and proceed to Entebbe Airport for your flight back home.
