Rwakobo Rock is a serene and isolated retreat where guests can actually breathe in the clear quintessence of Uganda’s wilderness. There are eight comfortable and large cottages scattered all over this hill, to offer the utmost privacy as well as magnificent views of the rising and setting sun! The main eating area looks over an area of rock that connects to the park. Located within in the immaculate Ankole ranchlands bordering Lake Mburo National Park, Rwakobo Rock is the ideal place to stay.
Rwakobo is frequently visited by various animals among which are: zebras, warthogs, impalas plus that normally gather at the water hole right below the dining area. Every night guests enjoy sounds of habiatats of bush to which the finally fall asleep.
This isolate area is found about one kilometer from Lake Mburo National Park’s Nshara Gate. Guests can enjoy day time as well as night time adventures within the park. The drive from the main-road takes you through the Nshara government ranch, in which herds of Ankole cattle are seen grazing alongside zebras. This area is inhabited by bahima pastoralists who live the old traditional lifestyle and are the custodians of this natural area and all its biodiversity. Each evening the Rwakobo staff make a camp fire and there guests can unwind as they enjoy the beautiful sights of the sunset fade into a starlit African sky.
