Day 1: Arrive in Uganda using the airline of your choice (arrangements for low-priced tickets can actually be made). You willed be Pickup from the airport by one of our delegates. Transfer from Entebbe to the capital Kampala to the team’s facility where actually you will be accommodated. (The accommodation includes lodging, meals, laundry as well as daily transportation to work site on which you will be volunteering). Basing on your time of arrival be it morning or in the evening you will enjoy an orientation about Uganda, and its cultures, about the worksite and also have time to ask any question that may arise.
Day 2: after Breakfast and head to the volunteering site like a school, or medical facility or to a building project basing on what you or your team would have chosen. You will working together with Ugandans and have an opportunity to experience the reality of the life style in Uganda. A number of projects involve majorly with working with young children and these are very rewarding. Have Lunch at the site and return by 5 pm to the team facility where you will dinner and have some time at leisure.
Day 3: after Breakfast and head to the volunteering site with packed lunch while there you interact and work with Ugandans. The majority of volunteers find their work very enriching and always return every other year, with others actually extending their stay for a longer time.
Day 4: must any of your trip days be a Sunday a special schedule will be organized for instance after breakfast go to the Bugolobi Church for-Children and spend some time with these young ones many coming from slums that come here to attending church. You will help out in the feeding initiative as well as interact with different children between the age of three to sixteen. Sunday normally turns out to be very memorable and interesting day for majority of the volunteers. From here you will visit a Primary School and there you will be welcomed with local entertainment by the children as they display their skills in singing, traditional dancing, as well as playing of traditional instruments. It is such a wonderful enjoyment. Head to Garden City Mall for Lunch; the mall has numerous restaurants so we shall have an opportunity to choose from any of these and even do thrilling shopping for the basics you may need.
Day 5: after Breakfast and head to the volunteering site for another thrilling yet enriching day as you work side by side with the Ugandans. Have Lunch and carry on with the work and in the evening return to the team facility for dinner.
Day 7: after Breakfast and head to the volunteering site, later in the evening, drive back to team facility for dinner and the overnight.
Day 8: Set off for a 3 day Safari following breakfast, this is an optional addition, to either Queen Elizabeth National Park or to the stunning Murchison Falls National Park to spend three day marveling at the impressive wildlife in Uganda. Accommodation will be at Mweya Safari Lodge or at Paraa Safari Lodge, enjoy lunch, and unwind by the wonderful swimming pool. They offer delicious meals and good quality rooms. Today evening you will enjoy a game drive to see the animals living in the park as well as the profusion of bird there. Relax on the terrace or on the veranda in the evening.
Day 9: have an early breakfast and go for a game drive in the morning, return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch have a boat cruise on the impressive Kazinga channel or on the stunning River Nile at Murchison to see the various animals on the water shores. Sights of numerous birds and monkeys are very common.
Day 10: an early breakfast and then return to the capital Kampala having your lunch on the way and then dinner in the capital.
Day 11: following breakfast have a city tour around Kampala having lunch within town and an opportunity to purchase some souvenirs. In the evening have a farewell dinner with our Ugandan co-workers within town.
Day 12: today you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight and will be the end of this thrilling trip.
