Found at Ntebeko Gate Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. This campground offers breathtaking views of the Crater Lakes plus the Virunga Volcanoes plus the western arm of the Great Rift Valley.
There is a self-contained banda plus two bandas that accommodate 3 beds and a dormitory banda that can accommodate 4 beds.
There is a large camping area and a spacious common dinning shelter inside or on the porch.
There is a nicely stocked bar offering beers and sodas with snacks. There is a kitchen which offers a number of wonderful delicious dishes.
How to reach us
Take the path to Bunagana from the National Park Office, after 100 meters turn left. Right away after Travelers’ Rest turn right (although going straight leads you to the border of Uganda and Rwanda at Cyanika). An additional 250 meters take another turn right. You’re now on the primary track to the Mga Hinga. All additional junctions are properly sign posted. At the 4.3 kilometer junction are two signposts. One to Ntebeko Gate and the other to Muhavura Ranger Station
The steep road to Ntebeko Gate begins 7.3 kilometers from the offices of the National Park in Kisoro, or people who don’t have their private transport can get transport at the Kisoro bus stop or via the Guest House.
