5 Days Gorillas and Chimpanzee Tracking
Rwanda Primates safari includes Gorilla trekking, visiting tourist sites and chimpanzee tracking. This safari begins and finishes in Kigali. We start with Parc National des Volcans to trek gorillas and then Nyungwe Forest National Park to track chimpanzees and lastly head back to Kigali.
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali.
The city is very clean city and the people very hospitable and friendly. You will be taken to your place of accommodation where you will dine and slumber. The accommodation ranges from budget, mid-range and luxury.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe forest national park.
After breakfast drive to Nyungwe National Park. This journey is very fascinating as you will observe amazing sceneries all around the area. The guide will slowly drive to allow you capture the best photographs. You’ll have a number of stopovers at Butare National Museum, Nyanza (Rukali) as well as Malaba coffee factory, plus other exciting areas. Arrive late in the evening and check into your lodge. Have dinner and get ready for the amazing day of tracking chimpanzees.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking or Canopy walk or nature walk or birding.
Awaken early for an early breakfast. Go to Nyungwe forest to track chimpanzees guided by rangers. These 
rangers are aware of best places to easily track these chimpanzees. While you hike through the verdant forest, you will find various other primates such as monkeys, which will excite you as you move closer to the forest chimpanzees. There are various Bird species as well for birdwatchers. The opportunity to see these chimpanzees are amazing, you will observe them play, feed and rest. You will be allowed to take numerous pictures after this you will head back for lunch and later have a forest walk to see the beautiful twin lakes as well as various bird species. Have dinner and slumber.
Day 4: Transfer from Nyungwe to Volcanoes National park.
After an early breakfast head to Volcanoes National Park. The ride, offers great views of Lake Kivu ideal for photography. Enjoy lunch on the way and continue on this interesting drive. Arrive late evening and check into your lodge, ranging from budget, mid-range and luxury facilities. All these accommodations offer a magnificent view of the park. Have dinner and rest.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking adventure and transfer back to Kigali.
After an early breakfast proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing regarding gorilla trekking by the park rangers. You will hike through the verdant jungle looking for mountain gorillas. Some amount of physical fitness is needed during this activity since it involves a lot of climb hills. The experience is tedious but impressive when you finally face the mountain gorillas. You’ll spend an hour with them, see them in families as they go about their day-to-day routine activities; mothers caring for the young, playing as well as feeding. You are required to maintain a distance while you watch them, make sure to turn off the flash of your camera as you take pictures. gorilla Trekking takes approximately two to six hours. Right after trekking, transfer back to Kigali for your departure flight.
