7 Days Gorilla Tracking Safari, Uganda Rwanda Gorilla Tour

This exciting 7 days Rwanda gorilla tracking safari starts and finishes in Kigali or ends in Kampala offering double gorilla trek in Rwanda as well as Uganda.

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National park

After breakfast at your accommodation, continue northwards to volcanoes national park. This journey is very fascinating as you’ll enjoy the spectacular scenery of the region. You’ll certainly appreciate why Rwanda is referred to as land of “the thousand hills”. Your guide will drive slowly and even stop to give you an opportunity to take pictures at close range. This park is a habitat to over 360 great mountain gorillas. You will arrive late evening, check into your  lodge, ranging from budget, mid-range and luxury facilities, dine and slumber as you prepare for gorilla tracking the following day.

Day 2: First Gorilla Tracking

After an early breakfast proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing regarding gorilla trekking by the park rangers. You will hike through the verdant jungle looking for mountain gorillas. Some amount of physical fitness is needed during this activity since it involves a lot of climb hills. The experience is tedious but impressive when you finally face the mountain gorillas. You’ll see them in families as they go about their day-to-day routine activities; mothers caring for the young, playing as well as feeding . You are required to maintain a distance while you watch them, make sure to turn off the flash of your camera as you take pictures. Gorilla Trekking  takes approximately two to eight hours. Right after trekking, head back to the lodge to relax. Later on you will visit the twin lakes and have a cultural walk to see the hospitable Banyarwanda go about their daily activities. You will get an opportunity to interact with the local people and appreciate their fascinating culture. You will be entertained by traditional dances and songs. Later head back to your lodge for dinner and the overnight.

Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking / Dian Fossey hike

Awaken early for an early breakfast. Go to Nyungwe forest to track chimpanzees guided by rangers. TheseGolden rangers are aware of best places to easily track these chimpanzees. Day 4: Second Gorilla Tracking

After breakfast head to the park headquarters for a briefing regarding the rules governing gorilla tracking in Bwindi. This experience is amazing! Hiking through the thick forest is tedious although an adventurous; you’ll see birds, primates, wildlife and plants. You’ve got to be physically fit to trek these gorillas. In the event you fail, you will find porters who will carry you at an affordable fee. the Rangers can simply detect where the gorilla were the previous day. Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, going through the Ishasha area to see the climbing lions plus various bird species. They are usually within trees to avoid heat and the bugs found on the ground. You’ll see a number of them lying on the acacia branches. After this great encounter you will head to the park where you will have lunch. After lunch, have a boat ride on Kazinga channel. You’ll see the two Lakes George and Edward. During the ride, you’ll see large numbers of hippos in the water, giant crocodiles, buffaloes as well as elephants seen far away. Various bird species will be all around the area, and you’ll appreciate the true splendor of Uganda.  Dine and slumber

Day 6: Game drive and Chimpanzee tracking

Early morning, leave for a game drive to see the early morning risers returning from their hunt. your guide will take you to the finest areas in which to easily see these animals such as elephants, lions, antelopes, warthogs, hipposbuffaloes, Uganda kob and waterbucks among other. You will observe numerous bird species, return for lunch at the lodge and in the afternoon set out Chimpanzee tracking within Kyambura gorge. Day 7: Transfer to Kigali/Kampala

Basing on the time you reach, you will have a Kigali city tour to see the Genocide memorial sites, the local market as well as the national museum. head to the airport for your departure flight . Alternatively drive to Kampala and transfer to Entebbe airport for departure flight.
