8 Days Extreme Wild Adventure Uganda Discovery

Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls

Start the scenic drive to northwestern Uganda through the renowned Luwero Triangle, through travel to Masindi visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to trek Rhinos. After lunch, you will proceed to FallsMurchison at the beautifully located site at the peak of the fall to see the majestic flow of the River Nile. You will see how the waters of the Nile squeeze through a small gorge of only 7 meters wide and drop down to over 42 meters below with a thunderous roar and a water spray that forms a beautiful rainbow.  It is very amazing. You will dine and slumber

Day 2:  Murchison Falls National Park

After your breakfast you will cross the Nile using a ferry to the banks on the northern side of the park. There you will have a guided game drive to see various animals such as Elephants, hyenas, Lions, Bohor reedbucks, Cape buffaloes, Bushbucks,  Rothschild’s giraffes, Oribi, hartebeests and Waterbucks, and if fortunate see a leopard. You will return for a late breakfast and also lunch back at the lodge.  in the afternoon you will have a boat ride to the bottom of the falls and stop only a couple of meters from the  “Devil’s Cauldron”. By the river baks you see the giant Nile crocodiles, hippos and various bird species and just a distance away Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, elephants and waterbucks. In addition there are various bird species here such as cormorant, bee-eater, Egyptian goose, kingfisher, pelican, hornbill, uncommon shoebill stork and the Goliath heron.
you will leave the boat and climb to the Top of the Falls for about an hour to see how marvelously the great Nile thunderously explodes through a small gorge within the Rift Valley escarpment to fall into a pool about 43 meters below. You will find your guide waiting to drive you back to your lodge. you will dine and spend the night at High end: Paraa Safari Lodge, or Mid range: Sambiya River Lodge or Budget: Red Chili Camp; Meal Plan B-L-D

Day 3: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park

You will drive south through Hoima to the stunning Fort Portal past the beautiful countryside dotted with traditional homesteads plus farms close to Albertine Rift escarpments. The town of Fort-Portal is found on the foothills of the Mountains of the Moon. Dine and sleep at Luxury: Kyaninga Safari Lodge or Mid-range: Mountains of the or at Budget: Chimp Nest. A beautiful location looking over an impressive Crater Lake as well as the magnificent “Mountains of the Moon”.

Day 4: Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking – Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the early morning you will set out to trek chimpanzees. This Kibale forest is the finest place to encounter chimpanzees within their natural territory. After lunch you will drive to Queen Elizabeth Uganda KobNational park and along the drive you will see various wild animals. Dine and slumber :

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth NP

Start with an early game drive along the Kasenyi plus Queens Mile to see elephants, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, lions, waterbucks and warthogs, plus various bird species. You will later return for a late breakfast plus lunch. in the afternoon you will go for a boat trip on the Kazinga channel for about two hours to see warthogs, kobs, hippos, elephants and buffaloes. Dine and slumber

Day 6:  Queen Elizabeth NP-Bwindi

After breakfast you will leave for a guided walk in the Kyambura gorge to see Chimpanzees and other primate.  After the walk, you will head to the Ishasha area which is mainly covered with savanna grass and dotted with acacia and huge fig trees. This drive will lead you through the spectacular western rift valley escarpment and on this game drive you will be able to see the unique tree climbing lions as you head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

This drive takes approximately 4 hours yet it offers very spectacular scenery. You will reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park later in the evening. Bwindi park is habitat of the uncommon mountain gorillas. Besides the gorillas there are various primates species like the red plus blue tailed monkeys.  This rain forest has numerous streams flowing through it and a beautiful water fall. Day 7: Bwindi Gorilla tracking

Following a quick early breakfast you will head out gorilla tracking guided by rangers. The delight of meeting them will rub out all the tiredness from the long trek. Carry along jungle boots plus Gorila bwindirain jackets since it rains any time here. You will spend an hour observing the gorillas. Each gorilla encounter is very different and offers unique rewards, as you watch them feed, play and care for their young.

The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a newly proclaimed World Heritage site which is really old that it actually survived the very last ice age. It is renowned for it exceptional diversity of plant life as well as being home to over half of the total world population of the mountain gorillas which are estimated to be about 720 in the whole world. In addition this forest is also home to some chimpanzees and research reveals that the Bwindi is the sole forest in Africa where these two apes are surviving together harmoniously.

If Time allows you will visit the neighboring local communities and meet the local batwa pygmies who will entertain you with the traditional songs and music and also get a chance to see their way of life and also see how they in the past managed to survive entirely on this forest. Dine and slumber at Buhoma Lodge, The Gorilla Resort, Engagi Safari Lodge, or Buhoma community Bandas (Full Board)

Day 8: Bwindi -Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, you will drive back to the capital Kampala making a stop to have the Igongo Cultural village to visit the Bahima people and see their Ankole culture. You will also stop at the Equator to take some photographs and once in Kampala you will be transferred to the Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
