Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Virunga National Park
Those staying at the Tented Camp in Bukima unlike those in the Mikeno Lodge, will after having breakfast have no need of driving to the park headquarters where trekkers are to be briefed on what they are expected to do before the start of the climb. It takes more than 2 hours to drive to the starting point which is in Bukima. An hour is all you have to spend, doing some quality time in the presence of this gentle Mountain Gorillas taking as many pictures as you want. Trekking through the forest is something not to be taken lightly especially when in the Virunga National Park; it is a very tough activity that can even last up to 8 hours.
Head back to the park headquarters where you will meet your driver waiting to transfer you back through the border to the Kigali International Airport so that you could catch your flight back.
