Day 1: Arrival

On arrival at the airport you will be welcomed by one of our drivers who will drive you to your accommodation found in Entebbe. Dine and sleep at The Boma (B & B).

Day 2: Transfer to  Sipi Falls

After breakfast, leave for the less explores east driving through Jinja up to Mbale a lively town of the foothills of Mountain Elgon. This place is rich with heritage and interesting culture. Along the way you will enjoy great views of the Sipi falls, the mountain and various homesteads. You will have lunch in Mbale, dine and slumber at Lacam Lodge.

Day 3: Walk to Sipi Falls

Early morning you will have a wonderful walk to the Sipi Falls. The walk is very exciting and takes you to the bottom of the waterfall. From there you will steeply ascend to a number of caves. Along the trail to the falls you will go past a number of homesteads, banana plantation and fields of maize.

You will have lunch back at the lodge and also relax for some time. In the afternoon checkout a Coffee Project and actually learn why the Sipi Area is home to some of the finest coffee in the whole world. Interact with the local farmers, visit the plantations and actually learn about the local process of making coffee. There you will get the opportunity to enjoy freshly brewed coffee while you relax and marvel at the beautiful sunset. Dine and slumber at Lacam Lodge.Note: to better experience and watch the waterfalls we recommend that you opt to abseil and this is offered on request.

Day 4: Transfer to Kitgum

Following breakfast, you will head north. The drive is long yet very spectacular taking you through various landscapes and villages. The area is off-the-beaten track and actually not frequented by several tourists. You will see how the several years of riots have affected this area, as well as how it’s gradually developing again. Currently it is very safe to visit and you will have a lunch stop on the way and in the late afternoon arrive in Kitgum. Dine and sleep at Fulgy’s Guesthouse.

Day 5: From Kitgum Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

Visit the local primary school before continuing towards Uganda’s border with Sudan and into Kidepo Valley National Park. You will check into your accommodation and have lunch there too as you enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding you. After lunch you will have a game drive and later return to dine and slumber at Nga’moru Wilderness Camp.

Note: alternatively you can stay at the luxury Apoka Safari Lodge, flanked by grassy plains and numerous animals. It offers 10 privately located cottages each with a private veranda and outside stone bathtub looking over the valley. Its main lodge has a dining area, a lounge offering views on surrounding swimming pool plus a waterhole.

Day 6: Game drive – Kidepo Valley National Park

An entire day within Kidepo National Park!   in the Early morning you’ll explore  Narus River Valley on a game drive or a safari walk. There you will look of lions, giraffes, ostriches, elephants plus zebras. The park is additionally a birders paradise offering more than 475 bird species. You will have lunch, relax and later visit a local Karamojong community. The Karamojong tribe is famous for their distinctive nomadic lifestyle as well as unique storytelling traditions. Dine and slumber at Nga’moru Wilderness Camp.

Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Today we drive south to the famous Murchison Falls National Park and enter the park through the northern section where we shall have a game drive as we head south to the great River Nile. You will see various animals among which are: buffaloes, elephants, hartebeests and Uganda Kobs in the savannah scattered with Borassus palm trees. Dine and slumber at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Note: alternatively reside at Chobe Safari Lodge, a not too long ago launched safari lodge within the northern section of Murchison Falls National Park. This lodge offers luxurious guest rooms plus luxury safari tents found on the banks of the great Nile. Besides a dining room, a terrace and the bar there is a 3 tiered cascading swimming pool offering spectacular views of River Nile.

Day 8: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Following breakfast have a morning game drive along the northern river bank of the Nile. After lunch you will have a boat cruise on river Nile to see the animals and birds at close distance. Dine and slumber at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Visit Murchison Falls and Budongo Forest Reserve

After breakfast visit the breathtaking top of the falls to watch the might of the Nile as you marvel at its large volumes of water squeeze their way through a narrow gorge of only 7 meters drop down to 45 meters with a great thunder.  From here you will proceed to the southern section of the national park, to Budongo Forest Reserve. In this forest you will track chimpanzees in the company of a guide. You will explore the hidden forest tracks as you search for the habituated group of chimpanzees. Dine and sleep at Budongo Eco Lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino – Jinja

Following a wonderful breakfast in the middle of the rain forest you will at leave the national park and head southwards. On the way you will visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only home to wild rhinos in this country Uganda. This reserve was established to reintroduce rhinos in Uganda which since 1982 have actually been extinct. Along with your guide you have an opportunity to track rhinos and watch them in this habitat at very close yet safe distance. From here you will proceed to Jinja where you will spend the overnight close to the Source of the Nile. Dine and slumber at The Haven – Honeymoon Bungalow.

Note: alternatively reside at Wildwaters Lodge. The lodge is located in the rain forest on its private island and situated just 30 minutes from the town of Jinja. It offers ten rooms in the middle of the forest having king size beds, free-standing baths, private decks and spectacular views over River Nile and its spectacular rapids. Raised wooden walkways join the rooms to the lodge’s swimming pool, restaurant and bar area. A Complimentary Spa Treatment is offered   when you upgrade to Wildwaters Lodge.

Day 11: Visit River Nile

There isn’t any better way to conclude your safari than on the banks of river Nile! You will spend the day entirely at your own leisure or read a book, unwind at the pool or take pleasure in the spectacular views of River Nile. People who prefer to experience some more adventure may opt to go rafting the Source of the Nile. Right after getting instructions, you’ll begin peddling and relish the beautiful scenery as well as thundering rapids! Other suggested activities are horseback riding, Wild Nile Jet, visit to the source of the Nile, bungee jumping, village walk and quad bike safari. Day 12: Departure

Having had a very great memorable experience of Uganda and its amazing gifts of Mother Nature, you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight.
