Spend your safari visiting the Mountain Gorillas of Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park and the Kahuzi Biega’s Eastern Lowland Gorillas. Uganda’s Mgahinga National Park will on your safari present you with an amazing time while you track the Golden Monkeys and on the other hand, on the famous Lake Bunyonyi is where you will enjoy boat rides before proceeding to visit the nearby communities.
Day 1: Travel to Bukavu in the Democratic Republic of Congo
Take a tour around the city of Kigali while in the company of your guide who will drive you to visit places like the Genocide Memorials and or museums en route to Bukavu in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Travel for close to 7 hours through Rwanda’s many hills, having lunch along the way Complete all necessary border requirements and proceed to your accommodation facility for a late meal and rest.

Day 2: Eastern Lowland Gorilla Tracking
Journey on a 2 hour drive after breakfast to the headquarters of the Kahuzi Biega National Park just in time for briefing. Begin your trek into the marshlands looking for these endangered primates and spend 1 hour with them. Head back to your lodge to relax and have a meal.
Day 3: Travel to the Volcanoes National Park
Leave on a drive across the border after having breakfast for the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda which is habitat to the endangered Mountain Gorillas. Sitted somewhere in Rwanda’s northern province, this park is one of the few in Africa popular for gorilla tracking. Reach Musanzw in the evening and take a trip to see the communities of the locals and the twin lakes too.
Accommodation: The Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, the Hotel Muhabura and the Villa De Gorilla.
Day 4: Track the Mountain Gorillas & Travel to Uganda
Embark on a 30 minute drive to th Volcanoes park headquarters in time for a briefing before being distributed and allocated a gorilla group. Begin your tracking experience in 3 to 4 hours and find the gorillas. Take an hour watching them and later return for lunch. Travel with your guide to the border after and cross over to Uganda.
Accommodation: The Kisoro Travelers Inn and or the Golden Monkey Guesthouse.
Day 5: Golden Monkey Tracking
Have your breakfast before driving to the Mgahinga National Park headquarters for the Golden monkey briefing after which you will proceed into the forest to search for the primates. Tracking takes about 2 to 4 hours depending on the Golden Monkey movement. Head back to the park headquarters when you are through tracking and meet with your driver who will then transfer you to one of the deepest lakes in Africa; Lake Bunyonyi. Check into your hotel, enjoy a meal and rest after.

Day 6: Travel to the Queen Elizabeth National Park
Take pleasure in an early morning boat ride on this famous Lake Bunyonyi, visiting and listening to tales behind the many islands sifted on the lake. Head back for breakfast after which you wI’ll travel to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Go through the Ishasha sector which is a great place to spot the tree climbing lions. Enjoy your lunch before proceeding to the park. Check in and have a meal and rest.
Accommodation: The Mweya Safari Lodge, the Ishasha Jungle Lodge and or the Bush Lodge.
Day 7: Game Drive and Mid-morning Boat Cruise
Enjoy a morning game drive which will give you the opportunity to see very many wild animals like elephants, zebras and lions among many others. Return to the lodge so you could have breakfast and later have lunch too. When through with your meal, continue to enjoy the boat cruise while on the Kazinga Channel. This channel connects the lakes George and Edward which are great places to spot the animals of the water like the crocodiles and hippos.
Day 8: Travel to the Kibale Forest National Park
Have another game drive in the park early in the morning after breakfast at your hotel, which will present you with a chance to see a couple of animals that you could have missed out on the earlier game drive. Drive to the Kibale Forest National Park which is famed for being home to the Chimpanzees. Go through the crater lakes region and get there in the wee hours of the evening in time to check in o your lodge.

Day 9: Chimpanzee Tracking
Enjoy your breakfast and travel to the headquarters of the park in time to be briefed on the regulations and rules on Chimpanzee tracking. Enter the forest and begin the 2 to 4 hour great chimpanzee tracking journey. Return to your hotel after and relax before beginning another exciting nature walking journey that takes you to the nearby local communities. Later, head back to your hotel for an overnight and dinner.
Day 10: Travel back to Kigali
Get up in the morning and take delight in the morning breakfast before embarking on the journey to Kigali. Enjoy your lunch en route and on arrival, head to the hotel booked for you or even catch your flight back home at the Kigali International Airport.
