Single Tourist Visa Launched by Uganda Rwanda and Kenya

The good news today is that the East Africa single Tourist Visa was formally commenced by the Heads of States of Rwanda, Kenya as well as Uganda. The occasion took place yesterday in Kampala. The major aim was to put together tasks mutually led by the three countries for the past months.

This was a great occasion where presidents of different countries offered out dummy Visas to three guests from Spain, UK and Canada. This tourist visa was launched on 1st January 2014, which depicts the three countries as a single tourist region

To commemorate a wonderful event they had, Uhuru Kenyatta president of Kenya, Paul Kagame president of Rwanda together the president of Uganda Yoweri Museveni had an opportunity to launch the Voter’s cards; Student Cards as well as National Identity Cards to enable citizens travel to all countries freely without any hassle.

The Head of Tourism Department in Rwanda called Rica Rwigamba praised the idea of a single tourist visa and alleged that East Africa will be able to compete favorably with other destinations around the world

She further said that tourists have got the opportunity to travel in all these countries in just one round tour. This will help them save lots of money. One of the tourists known as Laia Sole Amat from Barcelona who got the dummy visa from Agape the president of Rwanda, expressed that this Visa would attract many people across the world.

She has this to say” It’s marvelous. Obtaining a visa on my first trip to East Africa. Am extremely glad that am experiencing this event. Several people may take pleasure in the use of the visa worldwide”

The Executive officer (Uganda Tourism Board) called Stephen Asiimwe alleged that the world tourism industry have illustrated that tourists are more excited by the holistic travel encounter.

This visa shows a sign of constant efforts as well as collaboration amongst the different tourism boards. Much support is to be needed as they introduce the corporative Marketing Strategy.

The issuing country will charge Usd 100 for a single tourist visa. Both countries will benefit however the issuing country will take Usd 40 and the rest will take Usd 30.This role was assigned to Kenya and was requested to come up with visa application form which is supposed to be shared amongst other countries in the shortest time possible

Ministers from these states, Internal affairs, foreign affairs and Finance where asked to come up with modalities for a unique Visa Fees accounts. Ministries of Foreign affairs from the partner regions were to confirm that all assignments were set for the East Africa Tourist Visa.
